Write Down Your Goals For True Success
Write down your goals for losing those unwanted pounds. If you are the type who likes to write, consider starting a fitness or weight loss journal, dedicated entirely to your fitness and weight loss goals. Writing down your goals is one of best ways to achieve them.

You keep a running list of things to do for work and home, so why not make a list for keeping fit? Fitness goals should be realistic and measureable. You'll also want to date your goals. Having a deadline is often a very good motivator. Do you want to lose weight for the summer reunion? If there's a special day looming in your future, such as a wedding or a party, make that date your finishing line. Having something to look forward to will help you get through your daily routine.

According to expert studies done about the human brain, when you take the time to actually write down your goals, you set in motion a specific part of your mind that goes to work for you. Even if you consciously forget about your goals after you've written them down, your unconscious mind stays aware of them. Your brain begins to attract situations into your life that will help that goal become a reality for you.

Some people find that it helps to imagine themselves at their perfect weight, then describe how it would feel to be that weight.

Try this. Describe, in writing, how it would feel to wear that perfect outfit or dress that you've had your eye on for some time now. Before you actually write anything, allow your mind to drift and imagine the details on the dress, how beautiful they are, and then visualize yourself walking around. Imagine that you are months ahead, in the future, and the time has come for that special day, the wedding celebration or the big party that you've been looking forward to. Imagine seeing yourself dancing or having fun with your friends and the other guests. Now imagine that someone you know well exclaims how wonderful you look. Notice how you feel when they say that to you. Doesn't that feel fabulous?

You may enjoy this little daydream as long as you like, then be sure to capture it in as much detail as you can, in your fitness journal. Even if you forget about your goals, your unconscious mind will now set about helping you make your daydream a reality.
